O espaço

presented in collaboration with The BEntway

ABOUT

"How much information do we need in order to understand how much space we take up in whatever place we find ourselves? For me, we already have more than enough information to answer this question through the movements we make, minute to minute and day to day. We are always in movement, even when we sleep, and the spaces we occupy help give meaning to our every movement wherever we might be."  - Pulga Muchochoma.

O Espaço (The Space) examines a complex range of movement, starting with the very beating of the human heart and the spaces in which not just those myriad movements but existence itself is illuminated for us and others to witness. This piece is co-presented by The Bentway and Art Spin.

This is an early and in-progress edit of O Espaço, filmed in the public art installation Pulse Topology by Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, which was presented by The Bentway and Exhibition Place in October 2021. The full dance film will be completed in 2022 after filming a second chapter in a different immersive light installation. Be sure to revisit this page for future updates.
